Who We Are
The Hispanic Safety Professionals member community advances Hispanic safety professionals in the occupational safety and health (OSH) profession through networking, collaboration, education and mentoring.
What We Do
Our member community provides countless opportunities for our Hispanic members to connect with great resources and great people while engaging with each other on a global scale.
- We offer education opportunities that members can immediately put into practice, as well as a wide range of leadership opportunities, to help our members develop to their fullest professional potential
- We are dedicated to advocating for the unique issues facing Latino workers through outreach, research and community collaboration
- With approximately 500 members, we provide a vast and supportive community for networking, collaboration and change-making
Why It Matters
The OSH industry and its leaders should be as diverse as all the different businesses and employees served. Workers are more likely to respond to safety initiatives that are spurred by people to whom they can relate and trust. Having diverse safety professionals helps ensure this. Our members have made great contributions to the safety profession, and we see many opportunities for increased involvement and career advancement.
Hispanic Safety Professionals Mentor Program
We connect experienced and rising OSH professionals from within the HSP community to invest in the future of Hispanic safety professionals; create lifelong relationships; and enhance mentees’ business acumen and develop their leadership skills. Mentor and mentee applicants must be members of ASSP and HSP.
