Who We Are
ASSP’s Manufacturing Practice Specialty member community aims to provide a forum for networking and sharing the latest technical content on industry-specific issues in manufacturing facilities of all types, including metal, timber and lumber working facilities, food processing, chemical, rubber and plastics facilities, and printing or publishing locations.
What We Do
For ASSP members within the Manufacturing Practice Specialty community, we provide the following:
- Networking opportunities via social media groups, conference calls and in-person meetings like the annual Professional Development Conference so you can connect with top industry professionals
- Professional development opportunities, including manufacturing- and safety-focused education you can immediately put into practice, mentor relationships that facilitate sharing knowledge, and volunteer and leadership opportunities to build your skills and enhance your resume
- Safety-related, manufacturing-focused content and information that you can also immediately implement, as well as share with employers and colleagues, to create safe, productive work environments
Why It Matters
Manufacturing facilities contain a wide variety of safety hazards and exposures that can produce serious and fatal worker injuries.
