Platform Statement

The Young Professionals group has grown by leaps and bounds since I first called in to the AC meeting in the fall of 2015. We now have an even larger team of volunteers, with amazing ideas. I’ve worked alongside this team for three years, and as Assistant Administrator, my goal would be to support the projects that we already have in the pipeline while enabling our team to do even more. This would include:

  • Working with the AC to create a vision and strategy for the next 5 years, or further.
  • Providing resources to direct members and volunteers to other positions in the society.
  • Regularly gathering feedback from members to improve our activities, including an exit survey

Of course, I want to continue the projects that we have been developing: webinars, mentoring, and our social media presence. Our ultimate goal is to create a space for students and emerging professionals to network and learn from each other, and where everyone feels welcome and supported.
