Platform Statement

A full ASSP Member for twelve years, I have been actively involved in BISE, and for the past three years served as membership chair. I was nominated for the BISE 2018 SPY award and recognized by the BISE Board for my service.  My contributions include: reporting membership activity, producing materials such as, videos, PowerPoints and letters to promote BISE Membership. My familiarity with the advisory board is essential to the Assistant Administrator Position.

At the 2016 ASSE Leadership Conference I obtained new knowledge, skills and techniques.  The first African American President of The Hudson River Valley Chapter, we achieved Platinum status for the first time under my leadership in 2018. I am also WISE and BISE liaison.  I planned the Chapter PDCs for five years involving budgeting, planning, educational sessions, and speaker acquisition.  On the BISE board I have also been essential in the planning year round and PDC activities.

I attended the ASSE PDC in 2015(Dallas) and was a concurrent session speaker at Safety 2018(San Antonio). My topic was “Women in Construction: Case Studies on Health, Safety and Workplace Culture”. I love to engage, inspire and motivate for that I received a WISE Mentor Award 2018.

Besides working in the Safety Sector for over 20 years, I have been President of CDT EHS Consulting LLC for 11 years. Safety is my passion. I serve as Safety and Security Manager for WSP USA.  I can effectively run an organization and would be an asset to assist the administrator and to succeed as Administrator.  My leadership experience coupled with experience preparing ASSP annual reports, utilizing the COMT, will be essential in the Role.

A “Safety Diva”, I am technically gifted and meticulous.  I multitask, a skill set needed to assist every position on the advisory board.  Thank you for your support.
