Members Receive AIHA Distinguished Fellow Award

AIHA announced eight recipients of its Distinguished Fellow Award, which honors AIHA members for their achievements in industrial hygiene. Among them were two ASSP members, Tuan Nguyen and Walt Rostykus.

“The Fellow designation symbolizes a steadfast commitment to the industrial hygiene field and I take pride in honoring these extraordinary AIHA members,” says AIHA President Deborah Imel Nelson. “We thank all of them for their outstanding contributions to the industrial hygiene profession.”

Tuan Nguyen, M.B.A., CSP, CIH, ARM, is an industrial hygiene consultant who has made contributions in the chemical and healthcare industry, most recently working at Shell Oil Co. to provide industrial hygiene support to the Geismar Chemical Plant. Nguyen is a professional member of ASSP’s Orange County Chapter and a member of the Society’s International Practice Specialty.

Walt Rostykus, Ph.D., CSP, CIH, CPE, is a principal consultant and vice president of Humantech. He has worked for 30 years in the fields of environmental health, occupational safety and industrial hygiene. Rostykus is a professional member of ASSP’s New Mexico and Columbia-Willamette chapters, as well as the Society’s Consultants and Ergonomics practice specialties.
