Mentor Someone New to the Safety Profession

Dec 01, 2019

SU_MentoringA good mentor can make a difference in the career of someone who is new to any profession by offering inspiration, encouragement or a simple word of support. Our Emerging Professionals in OSH Common Interest Group has launched a mentoring program to bring together new and seasoned members of the safety profession. Through mentor-mentee pairings, members can make connections that foster support, career growth and professional development.

How does it work? Mentors and mentees are paired based on the answers provided during application to ensure a fulfilling and rewarding experience for both people. Teams are matched for 6 months with the option to continue for longer. Mentors are not expected to provide employment or business opportunities for mentees, rather, to share life lessons, advice and coaching.
