Early Bird Rates End Soon for SafetyFOCUS 2021

Jan 11, 2021

PARK RIDGE, IL — While the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) prepares for its live virtual SafetyFOCUS 2021 event, it reminds potential attendees that early bird registration ends Jan. 20. Now is the time to sign up and save on the 10-day immersive education experience, set for Feb. 8-12 and 15-19.

SafetyFOCUS is ASSP’s second-largest annual event, offering occupational safety and health courses in a full-day format on a broad range of topics. The areas of focus include business and leadership skills, personal development, certification prep, construction, ergonomics, fall protection, risk assessment and management, safety management systems, and training and education.

Attendees can earn up to seven continuing education units (CEUs) to maintain a range of professional certifications while making lasting professional connections and absorbing relevant information they can immediately implement in their organizations. More than 90 courses are available.

“We continue our steadfast support of workplace safety and health professionals who are helping their companies keep workers safe throughout the pandemic,” said ASSP President Deborah Roy, M.P.H., RN, COHN-S, CSP, CIT, FASSP, FAAOHN. “SafetyFOCUS is a deep dive into continuing education with safety industry leaders who help participants build the knowledge and skills they need to excel at protecting workers in all sectors.”

SafetyFOCUS instructors will conduct courses in real time each day from 8 am to 4:30 pm CT, providing all the benefits of face-to-face instruction without the travel time and hotel expenses. Attendees simply need a computer with a camera, audio and internet access to participate. SafetyFOCUS is sponsored in part by Amazon.

Safety professionals will also experience a fun and interactive SafetyFOCUS Connect event focused on career development, networking opportunities and the sharing of real-life safety scenarios. It involves virtual community roundtables and networking chats that aim to help participants create meaningful connections and generate new ideas that can help them bring workplace safety to the next level.
