Registration Opens for Fall Session of SafetyFOCUS 2022

Aug 03, 2022

PARK RIDGE, IL — SafetyFOCUS, the immersive education experience from the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), returns with a five-day fall session to help occupational safety and health professionals advance their careers and keep workers safe in all industries.

Registration is now open for the education event scheduled for Oct. 24-28. Live courses will take place in person in Columbia, MD, and online via ASSP’s Live Virtual Classroom.

Participants will learn from 22 industry experts who will present courses in full- and half-day formats on a broad range of workplace safety and health topics. SafetyFOCUS is ASSP’s second-largest annual education event, which is now being expanded to twice a year.

Courses will focus on business and leadership skills, certification preparation, risk assessment and management, safety management systems, and comprehensive worker health.

Attendees who register for a full week of courses either in person or online can earn up to 3.5 continuing education units (CEUs) that will help them maintain a range of professional certifications. Participants will also expand their networks and take away relevant information and practical guidance they can immediately implement to help their organizations prevent worker injuries, illnesses and fatalities.

Safety and health professionals should register online by Aug. 25 to get the best available rate. Groups from the same company can save even more by contacting ASSP’s Nancy O’Toole at 847.768.3466 or notoole@assp.org. ASSP members save on registration and receive discounts on all of the Society’s education, training and workplace safety standards.

The safety and health of everyone at the training facility in Maryland is a priority. ASSP’s safety and health protocols require in-person attendees to provide proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of arrival on their first day. ASSP continues to monitor public health guidance and may revise its protocols as the event draws closer.
