DOL Seeks Nominations for ACCSH

Oct 01, 2018
U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is seeking nominations for its Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH). The committee advises the Secretary of Labor and OSHA Administrator on construction safety and health standards, and related policy matters affecting federally financed or assisted construction.

Of the 15 members, five represent employers, five represent employees, two represent state safety and health agencies, two represent the public and one member is designated by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The committee meets two to six times per calendar year.

“Our members are uniquely qualified to help advance public policy on OSH issues,” says ASSP President Rixio E. Medina, CSP, CPP. “By getting involved in a federal level committee that advises key government bodies, ASSP members can leverage their expertise to advance the practice of safety on a national scale.”
