ASSP’s DEI Summit will:

  • Bring together, listen to, and incorporate a wide range of perspectives to help the profession create safer workplaces
  • Provide a safer space to discuss creating a more inclusive culture within the safety profession
  • Gain insight into how ASSP can better support this work

DEI Summit Learning Objectives

After the DEI Summit, attendees will be able to:

  • Define key concepts related to DEI
  • Describe how DEI impacts safety in organizations and the OSH profession
  • Identify concrete actions to create a more inclusive safety culture

Proposal and Policy Guidelines

ASSP invites those interested in presenting at its DEI Summit to submit a proposal for review by our DEI Summit Task Force. Speaker proposals are evaluated objectively with consideration of the following criteria:

  • Degree to which the proposed session meets the program objectives
  • Desirability of the topic
  • Speaker's presentation skills and experience

Proposals to present must contain and convey sufficient detail to allow ASSP's DEI Summit Task Force to understand how the proposed session will contribute to the event objectives. Selection is competitive, so you must submit a compelling and complete proposal.
