The Incident Investigation Certificate is designed to help you enhance your impact, improve workplace safety and strengthen organizational learning. Learn proven strategies for leading thorough, unbiased investigations that go beyond surface-level causes to uncover why incidents occur and how to prevent them.

Through practical exercises and real-world scenarios, you’ll build core competencies in evidence collection, root cause analysis and corrective action planning. This program is ideal for EHS professionals with more than five years’ experience.

How to Earn Your Certificate

Step 1: Enroll in Our Incident Investigation Certificate Program.

There is no fee to register for the program. However, there is a separate registration process and fee for the required course. Once you are enrolled, please continue to Step 2.

Step 2: Register for and complete the required course within two years.

Step 3: Retrieve your certificate and receive your digital badge!

Upon completion of the required course, ASSP will post your certificate within 24-48 hours in your profile at www.assp.org, (Log-in, go to My Account, My Programs). Download the certificate and display it to recognize you!

You will also receive a digital badge through our partner, Credly, which you can easily share on LinkedIn and other platforms to showcase your achievement!
