Membership

Our regions provide support to local chapter leaders through training, professional development and best practices to ensure that members receive value at the local level.

Open Positions

Regional Vice Presidents

  • Region I – (one-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020)
  • Region III – (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)
  • Region V – (two-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2021)
  • Region VII – (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)
  • Region IX – (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)

Area Directors

  • Region I, Area 2 (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)
  • Region II, Area B (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)
  • Region IV, Louisiana (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)
  • Region IV, South Florida (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)
  • Region V, Area 2 (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)
  • Region VI, Southern Area (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)
  • Region VII, North Area (Immediate vacancy, term begins upon election runs through June 30, 2020)
  • Region VII, Central Area (one-year term, July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020)
  • Region VIII, Metro Area (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)
  • Region VIII, Keystone Area (three-year term; July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022)

Requirements

To serve as a regional vice president or area director, you must:

  • Be a professional member of ASSP
  • Reside or be employed in and hold your primary ASSP chapter membership in a chapter within the region and/or area you are seeking to represent
  • Have held a leadership position within the region, area or chapter, or another senior leadership position

Nominations

Please submit the following materials by Sept. 17, 2018.

All reginal elections must be contested (two candidates). ASSP’s Nominations and Elections Committee will keep nominations open past the deadline if we have not received a sufficient number of qualified submissions for an open position.
