Anuja Patil, MS, CSP, CPE serves as Risk Control Consulting Director: Ergonomics for CNA Insurance. In this role, she is responsible for the overall assessment, evaluation and delivery of all risk control ergonomic services and field technical support. Risk control ergonomics services include complex ergonomics assessments to identify and improve work tasks in occupational settings that have high injury risks and which reduce worker productivity.
Prior to joining CNA in 2019, Anuja worked at Faraday Future (an electric vehicle start-up), as the Ergonomics Manager, where she supported the Environmental Health & Safety department with ergonomics and safety services. Anuja has ergonomics expertise in the manufacturing, healthcare, biopharma, technology, and utility industries. She has developed and led the ergonomics programs for Faraday Future and Tesla by developing and tracking metrics and risk assessments, training process and design engineering teams, investigating incidents, creating ergonomic strategies, and building ergonomic teams.
Anuja holds a master’s degree in Environmental Health focusing on Ergonomics (Colorado State University, 2011) and a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, 2005). Anuja is a Board Certified Ergonomist (CPE), a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (IISE).

It is with great excitement and anticipation that I put forward my nomination for the Ergonomics Practice Specialty Assistant Administrator position. Practicing ergonomics has been more rewarding and fulfilling than I ever could have imagined. My journey in this profession has allowed me to make a meaningful impact on people's lives by making their work safer and easier and thus improving the quality of life. I hope to continue in my journey as an ergonomist by serving ASSP and promoting the value of ergonomics to all occupational safety and health professionals. If elected as the Ergonomics Practice Specialty Assistant Administrator, I will use my skills to help create a meaningful and high-quality member experience for ergonomics practice specialty members. I believe that blended education opportunities, embracement of new science, recruitment of new members and advocacy are some important areas to develop in the future.
I like to spend my spare time with my family and enjoy fine wine, traveling, exploring new cultures and destinations.
I take the opportunity to serve ASSP as a Practice Specialty Assistant Administrator very seriously, and if elected, I will serve the practice and its membership with diligence and dedication.
