Platform Statement

I believe that Area Director should support the Regional Vice President to fulfill ASSP’s vision. The Area Director assists the Regional Vice President in providing direction and support to chapter leaders within the area.

I have serve as a chapter president and an administrator for a CIG. At the present, I am an executive member at my chapter as well as an executive member at my CIG. I have enjoyed the time spent in the different leadership roles at the Society. These positions have sharpened my leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. It is wonderful to meet great leaders and to share the Society’s vision.

If I am elected Area Director, I would:

  • Promote greater collaboration among the chapters
  • Work with the region chapters to increase member engagement opportunities
  • Provide support and encouragement to the leaders
  • Share ASSP best practices with the chapters
  • Help chapters discover and enhance their uniqueness and share their passion for safety

I value each opportunity I have had at ASSP and am filled with gratitude. ASSP has a great number of volunteers with a common vision. It would be an honor to serve as an Area Director for Region V, Area 1. Thank you for the opportunity.
