The key strengths that I bring as a potential candidate for the Director at Large position include broad Society level experience, collaboration and member perspective.
The elected positions that I have held within ASSP include Chapter President, Regional Vice President and Society Vice President, Council on Regional Affairs. These experiences have provided me with the understanding of what is important to our members and what brings value to their ASSP membership through education, advocacy of our profession, leading standards development and the camaraderie experienced through networking.
My most recent elected position was serving as the Vice President, Council on Regional Affairs. Having had the honor and privilege to lead nine dedicated Region Vice Presidents and members around the globe added to the breadth of my ASSP experience and understanding of what it takes to bring value to and serve our members.
When I think back on the twenty years plus as a volunteer leader within ASSP, the experiences that resonate are working together toward common goals. Serving in the various volunteers within ASSP has provided me a wealth of knowledge, lifelong friendships and the commitment to give back. It is these experiences and my desire to give back if elected as Director at Large to contribute toward seeking opportunities for our members and advancing our profession.
Thank you for being a member of this amazing organization, taking the time to read candidate information, and voting. I am proud to be a member of ASSP and honored if elected, to serve as Director at Large. Thank you!
