Biography

Mohamed is Corporate HSE Manager for Giza Systems (Egypt – KSA – Gulf -WECA). ASSP Egypt Chapter President (2019 – 2021) and member of Global Operation Practice Specialty.

Worked as QHSE Advisor for Ideal Standard Group in Egypt, HSSE Manager for Degremont a company of GDF-Suez, HSE Lead for Honeywell Saudi Arabia.  He has deep knowledge in establishing effective prevention measures, monitoring implementing HSE programs and best practices.

Mohamed is a recipient of the Highly commended Award for HSE Leader of 2020 thought Egypt Petroleum Show “EGYPS”. 

Member of ASSP Technical Publication Advisory Committee as a member to review the quality and technical integrity of ASSP’s occupational safety and health publications. Honored to be one of the “Technical Reviewers” for the ASSP publication “Safety Leadership and Professional Development” published June 2018.  Speaker for PDC 2018, Egypt PDCs since 2017, Kuwait Chapter 2019, and Local HSE Conferences.

Volunteered through different chairs with Chapter & Region.  Region IX Communication, Website & Media Officer for 2 years. Egypt Chapter Secretary (2015 – 2019). Communication, Website & Media Officer for Egypt chapter 2010 – 2019.

Remarkable achievements include:

• Represent Region IX as one of the winners of Regional Membership Challenge 2016-17
• Leader and key founder for legalization and registration of Egypt Chapter as a legal entity in Egypt.
• Founder of the first student section in Egypt Chapter “Faculty of Science – Alex. University”.
• Key Organizer for Egypt PDC 2017-2019.
• Winner of 2016 ASSP member get a member campaign.
• Best Presentation at Egypt PDC 2017 & Best Presenter at Egypt PDC 2018. 

Platform Statement

It has always been a passion of mine to see colleagues, friends, and volunteers I work with succeeding in any task they take part in. I see a lot of potentials for Global Operations Practice Specialty, one of them is how it easy to transfer knowledge & best practices across countries.

I can see how Global Operations Practice Specialty members could acting as key references and facilitators for any HSE professionals who need support in global activities across the world.

Through proper alignment with all of the regions and recruit new members, we can achieve a lot together.

My continued goals are to represent and create greater value for you, our membership; operate the Society as a sustainable business enterprise; facilitate practice specialties established goals and objectives; achieve the Society’s Mission.
