    March 25 marks 108 years since OSH became front-page news because of the deadly Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. ASSP encourages all companies and their workers to join the Society in observing a moment of silence at 4:45 pm ET Monday to pay tribute to the workers who died in the fire while also refocusing on safe work environments.

    OSHA Drops Requirement to Electronically Submit OSHA Forms 300 and 301

    OSHA has issued a final rule that eliminates the requirement for establishments with 250 or more employees to electronically submit information from OSHA Form 300 and Form 301 each year. These establishments must still maintain those records on-site and must continue to submit information from their Form 300A.

    OSHA and MSHA to Hike Civil Penalties

    U.S. Department of Labor plans to initiate significant hikes in the civil penalties imposed by OSHA and MSHA that will take affect once the government shutdown ends and the increases can be published in the Federal Register.
