Membership

Brenda Allard, CSP, CIT

Biography

Brenda Allard is currently the Global Sr. EHS Manager for Chamberlain Group. She has over 25 years of health, safety, and environmental experience across a range of industries. Brenda has been a member of ASSP since 2008. She is a Professional Member of ASSP and currently serves as Area Director 1 for Region 5. Previously she served as Treasurer for the Three Rivers Chapter (2021- 2025). Brenda has served on the Three Rivers Chapter Board (2009 - 2025) in a variety of roles including Membership Chair, Delegate, Secretary, Vice President, and President. In 2017 Brenda received the Safety Professional of the Year award from the Three Rivers Chapter. Brenda received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western Illinois University in 1998 and a Master of Business Administration from Benedictine University in 2013. She earned her CSP in 2009 and CIT in 2014. She is an OSHA Outreach Trainer for General Industry.

Platform Statement

I have been a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals and the Three Rivers Chapter for over 17 years and am a Professional Member of the Society. Since 2009, I have served in various leadership roles at the chapter include two terms as chapter president and have worked to serve ASSP members. I see the position of Region V Area Director as a continuation of that service. For the success of our chapters and society, I appreciate the significant role the chapter board positions fulfill and understand the challenges in leading a successful chapter. Effectively supporting the Regions mission is crucial to helping the Chapters face both current and future challenges. As the Region V, Area 1 Director, I will support the ASSP’s Strategic Plan, in which our chapters are the primary method of engaging with our Membership and communities. I will support the Chapters and promote an increase in networking, communication, and collaboration among Region V Chapters so they can enhance the experience of their members. This includes:

  • Work with the Chapters to uphold ASSP’s CLEAR values of Community, Leadership, Excellence, Accountability and Respect with Area 1 of Region V.
  • Working with Chapters to enhance engagement with their members, especially members new to the safety field.
  • Providing resources, support, and opportunities for new and seasoned leaders
  • Promoting cross-chapter learning and networking opportunities for members
