As a candidate for the Central Area Director in Region VII, my desire is to strengthen our chapters through collaboration, being present, and having a commitment to the CLEAR values of ASSP. Our members deserve an engaged area director that provides vision, fosters networking and resources, and ensures every chapter thrives while working within ASSP’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. My platform centers on these three key priorities: 1. Empowering Chapter Leadership: I will provide clear guidance and consistent support to chapter officers while working alongside other area directors. This will help ensure they understand their responsibilities and are equipped to lead effectively. Through training, mentorship, and ongoing leadership development, we will build confident individuals who can sustain success long after their term ends. 2. Enhancing Member Value: By helping chapters offer programming that addresses the needs of all of our members—across industries, career stages, and communities—we can increase member engagement and professional growth opportunities. Regular communications and chapter visits, will help strengthen operations, improve chapter offerings, and ensure every member feels connected and valued. 3. Ensuring Accountability and Continuity: I will work closely with chapter executive committees to ensure compliance with bylaws, accurate reporting, and effective succession planning. Society transparency and personal integrity will guide my actions, while continuous improvement will be the goal. As part of the Regional Operating Committee, I will represent the Central Area’s voice as the liaison between chapters and Society, while supporting the next generation of safety professionals. Together, we will continue to build a stronger, more resilient Central Area and in turn Region VII—one that upholds the values of leadership, service, and excellence that help define ASSP. Empowerment, Value, Accountability -That’s the foundation for a safer, stronger Central Area of Region VII. Safety is not a priority when it is at your core!
