Platform Statement

My name is Patrick Wolocko, and I am honored to be a candidate for Vice President of Community Operations at ASSP. I am currently serving my final year as Administrator of the Emerging Professionals Common Interest Group, where I’ve had the privilege of working with passionate safety professionals early in their careers. Together, we’ve focused on delivering foundational content, encouraging engagement, and building connections that support long-term growth. Over the years, I’ve actively contributed to both Common Interest Groups (CIGs) and Practice Specialties, learning from their unique strengths and helping to create meaningful learning opportunities for their members. Through these experiences, one truth has become abundantly clear: we are all part of a larger community. Each group plays a vital role in strengthening that community—but none operate in isolation. Success comes from collaboration, open communication, shared resources, and a commitment to community values. If elected to this position, my primary goals will be to build a sustainable structure that enables seamless cross-communication and collaboration among all community groups and build an operating framework for all groups to enhance the value they provide to all members. By investing in the foundation of our communities, we can ensure that every ASSP member—regardless of background, specialty, or career stage—has access to the tools, connections, and opportunities they need to thrive. This role represents the ultimate opportunity to give back—not only to the members who make ASSP what it is, but to the Society itself. I am committed to helping ASSP strengthen its communities so that we can continue delivering the most effective, inclusive, and impactful experiences for all.
