Biography

Wesley Lashbrook, MS, CSP, CIH, FAIHA is Senior S/IH Partner at G.E.W. LLC. He holds an M.S. in Environmental Health Management and Adult Education from Oregon State University and is board certified in Comprehensive Practice as a CIH and CSP. A Fellow of AIHA and long time ASSP professional member, he has over 40 years’ experience advising public/private organizations across the United States on environmental, safety, and health risk management. Wesley has led projects from concept through commercialization, including interactive risk assessment software, mass/energy balance models, and comprehensive EHS cost analysis tools. Wes spent 43 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Colonel, served in Bosnia and Iraq, and 30 years as a Liaison Officer mentoring applicants for appointments to the US Air Force Academy

I am deeply passionate about serving in our Region’s leadership for the past four years and am eager to continue contributing to our shared success. My service across ASSP at the Practice Specialties, Section, Chapter, and Region levels provides a clear view of members’ needs and equips me to support and uplift all chapters in Region 1. My vision is to strengthen camaraderie among chapters by promoting collaboration and building a vibrant, interdependent community that advances financial stability, program quality, and measurable continuous improvement. Priorities

  1. Champion a regional culture of camaraderie, friendship, and fun
  2. A viable, successful CIG/PS-focused regional conference
  3. Financial viability within all levels within the region
  4. Chapter collaboration and support
  5. Effective program sharing and reuse of successful formats
  6. Maximizing each chapter’s accomplishments and visibility

    • 44 years of leadership experience in business and the military with a proven record of building management frameworks that deliver results.
    • Practical experience in volunteer governance and chapter operations that foster openness, trust, and cooperative problem solving.
    • Focused on ensuring chapters have the financial, membership, and ASSP resources necessary to serve members effectively.
