Biography

Sampath Reddy Golamari, CSP, CMIOSH, is a Post graduate in Mechanical Engineering and working in Oil and Gas upstream sector with more than 30 years of rich experience including 25 years in HSE.

During his career, he worked in several companies and currently working for Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) as a SAFETY Specialist under Drilling & Technology Directorate.

During his career, he demonstrated Technical Knowledge, professional skills and expertise in managing HSE in Drilling Operations. He possess extensive knowledge on operational HSE aspects, monitoring and Implementation of HSE Management System, development of new HSE Procedures, guidelines, Development of various key initiatives and safety Programs etc.

He has acquired HSE professional Credentials like Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).

He is a professional Member of ASSP and keenly associated with Kuwait Chapter for more than 15 years. He volunteered to serve chapter from the year 2008 onwards, including all the Leadership elected positions as- Chapter Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President and President.

He was member of Organizing committee for the KC GCC HSE Excellence award for four years (2013-2016) and HSSE Professional Development conferences PDC’s (2007, 2011, 2013 and 2015). On his rich experience, he was appointed for the leadership of the last two successful major Conferences of Kuwait chapter with his dedicated service as Deputy Director for the 9^th HSSE Professional Development Conference 2017 and Deputy Director for 10^th Conference 2019.

Presently, Mr Reddy is serving as Advisory Committee Member of Kuwait Chapter from 2016 onwards.

Platform Statement

I have been in the HSE profession for over 25 years and an active professional member of ASSP Kuwait Chapter for 15 years with Volunteer Services and leadership.

Having, considerable experience and knowledge of ASSP, a globally recognized Professional body for HSE professionals, as each year passes, I want more than ever to see ASSP to grow, provide support to our future leaders and raise the profile of our amazing profession. To continue along my path and become part of the wider ASSP family is an opportunity to really make a difference, to reach out to the wider ASSP network, provide support and advice as necessary.

I believe I will bring an added dimension to the chapters in the area, from the breadth of knowledge, experience, skill and determination; I have gained both as an active Professional Member and HSE professional.

I will use the ASSP as a platform:

1. To coordinate with members and leaders from different chapters to discuss relevant issues in the area.
2. Interacting with the members to promote Health and Safety in their organizations and guide their career in HSE profession.
3. Providing frequent professional development opportunities including trainings.
4. In sharing and transfer of knowledge, best practices among the chapters.
5. Explore ways to develop standards, procedures & guidelines by members of the chapters for the benefit of industries in the region.
6. Prioritizing the ever changing needs of the chapters and its members to provide solutions.
7. In fulfilling the responsibilities and achieving the set objectives

With my volunteering activities over the past 15 years, demonstrating my ability and willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to fulfil the duties; I look forward for the opportunity as the Area director to be able to pursue my plans.
