Biography
Wayne Vanderhoof, CSP, is a senior health and safety consultant at RETTEW. He has more than 25 years of experience providing safety consulting to industrial and manufacturing, oil and gas, and construction industry clients. He was previously president and owner of a safety consulting firm, where he advised company executives, management and workers on issues relating to occupational safety including OSHA compliance, injury prevention, and loss control and prevention.
Wayne has worked extensively with clients to ensure compliance with safety requirements and OSHA regulations, conduct safety audits, develop safety programs and procedures, and implement safety processes as required. His expertise includes conducting compliance inspections; creating and delivering a variety of safety training programs; and investigating incidents, analyzing root causes and developing corrective action plans. He holds a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University. Wayne is currently president of ASSP's Western Pennsylvania Chapter.
Platform Statement
My vision for the assistant administrator position with the Oil, Gas, Mining and Mineral Resources Practice Specialty is to assist the administrator in providing value to the practice specialty's members through organizing conference calls, meetings, webinars, open-calls and social events at ASSP's annual professional development conference. The vision continues with developing the practice specialty into the technical subject-matter experts for the oil, gas and mining industries.
