Emerging Professionals Mentorship Program

Guidelines for Mentors and Mentees

• Participants must be current ASSP members and Emerging Professionals (EPs) to participate.
• Application information will remain confidential and be reviewed only by the Advisory Committee for matching purposes.
• Mentors and mentees are expected to commit to at least one hour per month for mentoring discussions.
• Participants may apply for either the Winter Mentorship Cycle (October-March) or Summer Mentorship Cycle (March-September).
• Applications may be submitted at any time. Mentor-mentee matching occurs twice annually, in February and July.
• Mentorships last six months, with the option to extend for an additional six months by mutual agreement.
• The program includes three check-ins: an initial kickoff, a mid-cycle check-in, and a final check-in.
• Mentors are not expected to provide employment, internship, or business opportunities.
• The program is designed to support professional growth through guidance, coaching, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
