Platform Statement

As Regional Vice-President for Region I, I look to continue to be a servant leader for both our Society and our profession. Region I is made up of dynamic and diverse members and it is only within our members that we can continue to be successful.

Every chapter strives for success, to bring value to their members, and I will aid in that success to the best of my ability. I hope to not only carry on the leadership and vision set by the Regional Vice-President’s before me, and perpetuate their successes, but also to build upon that foundation and work with all our volunteer leaders to take on the challenges faced by our Chapters, both today and in the future, so Region I can continue to be one of the leading Regions in Society!

Writing this platform statement has allowed me a unique occasion to reflect on my time within ASSP and all that it has given me. Being a volunteer leader has allowed me to learn new skills and acquire new abilities, network with colleagues, build friendships and has provided me with an outlet to give back to my profession. These are all experiences that have molded me, both professionally and personally, and inspire and drive me to continue to serve. If elected, I promise to listen, ensure that all members are heard and to seek out and provide these opportunities to our members and contribute to advancing our profession.
