I am holding Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering and Master of Business Administration with more than 22 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Consultancy and Chemical sectors. My experience involved in Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems development and implementation. I am a lead auditor for ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015 and certified H2S Awareness train the trainer.
In addition to my professional service, I am associated with ASSP as a Professional Member and providing volunteer services in various positions at Society, Region, Communities and Chapter level. I served Kuwait Chapter from member to President, Region IX as 1st Best Practice Chair, Professional Development Chair, ROC member, ASSP Community Leader Training Committee Member and Environmental PS Advisory Committee Member.
Present I am serving as a member of ASSP Advisory Group, Kuwait Chapter Strategy & Implementation Advisory Committee and ANSI/ASSP Z390 Accredited Standards Committee.
First time in Kuwait Chapter’s history, we achieved about 100% membership growth under my presidency. It helped us to achieve top position in ASSP Regional Membership Challenge 2016-17. All our outstanding efforts recognized with Platinum level of Chapter Recognition for 2016-17. For my significant contributions and commitment towards HSE profession, ASSP honored me with highest awards including ASSP Safety Professional of the Year Award 2019, Charles V. Culbertson Outstanding Service Award 2018 and ASSP’s President Award 2020. etc.

Under my presidency (2016-17) at Kuwait Chapter, we achieved many milestones including the ASSP Regional Membership Challenge award, Platinum level of Chapter Recognition, etc., As a Region IX Professional Development Chair, I have conducted many professional development webinars. Being other communities’ member, I am delivering outstanding volunteer services which are helping them to strengthen.

ASSP has been huge resource for OSH professionals in the United States and in the recent past Region IX formed to extend the same services & support for International OSH professional members. Currently, it is having less percentage of members who are from international Chapters/ Sections. My objective is to improve the OSH professionals’ participation and ASSP footprint.
I will put my best efforts in this direction as an ASSP Region IX - Area 1 Director to achieve them in addition to ASSP Region strategic objectives.
