Platform Statement

In this role I will endeavor to assist Area 2 Chapters to develop, implement and maintain ASSP priorities to position each Chapter for growth and success.

My personal mission will be to assist in creating and/or encouraging a forum for safety, and health professionals to network and establish communications between all of us, that raises the quality of the Region’s worker safety and health protection, and regulatory compliance.

I also believe we have a responsibility to our Chapters to show value to be successful. One area of benefit I would like to explore is to is to expand our integration of Society’s Community products. With my experience as Vice Chair of the Council of Practice Specialties, I would like to explore incentivizing our Community ideas and implementing them to the Chapters.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and my time serving in leadership in the Practice Specialties, the Chapter and Section level. It gave me the opportunity to better understand the needs of our ASSP membership and I wish to bring these “lessons learned” to all of the Chapters within my Area and Region. Though the use of this gained experience and fostering member teamwork I wish to work together with our excellent existing team to achieve and expand our continuing success. Though collaboration and sharing of our experiences, together with our excellent leadership at Society, I wish to help expand on our accomplishments and further our successes.

In summary, I would like to aid our Chapters so we can work together to continue the great work our Region has achieved.  I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve as the Region 1 Area 2 Director and asking for your support.
