Platform Statement

When I look at my vision for the ASSP organization it is a focus on membership. Through creating a better membership experience by expanding knowledge, exciting networking opportunities, and engaging speakers. As a candidate for the Area Director’s Position for the Central Area of Region VII, to continue to provide, and improve upon these very topics. Through my experience as an officer for a local chapter I can offer fresh ideas, and a new outlook for the Chapters I would support in Region VII. My vision for the ASSP organization is to enhance, and improve upon the vision that is already set in place. The ASSP is created through its membership, and creating an environment for Safety Professionals to learn on all levels, and be engaged. This is the very reason why most professionals seek an organization such as the ASSP for knowledge, and networking opportunities.

My Vision for the OSH Profession is that I see an ever changing environment, and technologies that will change the standards, and views of safety across all industries. I see a lot of trending topics, such as Behavior Based Safety, and Performance Measures becoming a forefront for most industries. Safety will improve through different techniques, and an ever changing environment. Safety will move to a more focus approach through understanding new found hazards, and following step by step procedures that will continue to improve every day. Industries will evolve due to more in depth conversations about the human element, and how technology will remove humans from most physical tasks.
