ASSP member Anthony Marletta received a $10,000 graduate scholarship from
ASTM International. The scholarship supports graduate students in fields where technical standards play a crucial role.
“These students will use standards to expand scientific knowledge in a wide range of fields,” says ASTM President Katharine Morgan. “I look forward to seeing their contributions both to their fields and to the global standards community as a whole.”
An aspiring OSH expert, Marletta is a Ph.D. candidate at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He plans to help develop standards through ASTM’s pedestrian/walkway safety and footwear committee.
Marletta is a risk control consultant with Liberty Mutual Insurance in Long Island, NY. He joined ASSP in 2013 and is President of the
Long Island Chapter.
