SU_KathySeabrook_2017approvedInternational Labor Organization’s (ILO) World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2019 takes stock of ILO’s 100 years of work in improving OSH and looks to the future. As part of this commemoration, the organization is featuring 33 original think pieces and accompanying video clips from members of the OSH community from around the world who share messages and testimonials on OSH and the future of work from various expert and practical aspects.

Among the contributors is ASSP member Kathy Seabrook, CSP, CFIOSH, EurOHM, whose piece, “Connecting the Dots: Occupational Safety and Health and Business Performance,” focuses on the overall value of OSH and worker well-being in relation to sustainable business performance. Seabrook is a professional member of our New Jersey Chapter, a member of the Society’s Women in Safety Excellence Common Interest Group and serves on the advisory committee for our International Practice Specialty. Seabrook is chair of the Center for Safety and Health Sustainability and has served on the ANSI/ASSP Z10 Committee, as well as in many Society leadership roles from local to national board level. Seabrook was 2013-14 ASSP President and in 2016, she received the ASSP Fellow recognition, the Society’s highest honor. She is president and founder of Global Solutions Inc., a global EHS management consultancy working with domestic and multinational companies.
