Director-at-Large Heather MacDougall, J.D., CSP, owner of MacDougall Solutions LLC, joined the ASSP Board of Directors on July 1, 2025, serving a three-year term. She also is a trustee of the ASSP Foundation – the Society's charitable arm – in her dual leadership role.
MacDougall is former chair of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission and former vice president, Worldwide Workplace Health and Safety, at Amazon.
MacDougall draws upon her 30 years of experience as a lawyer and senior executive to partner with organizations on workplace safety and health. Her experience with congressional oversight and regulation provides unique perspectives on safety and health matters and the role of Capitol Hill, other government entities and stakeholders. Her professional services include aligning leadership, structures, systems and processes for continuous improvement in safety and health, and assisting organizations with OSHA inspections and citations.
MacDougall has been an ASSP member since 2021. She serves on two standards committees – Z10 OSH Management and Z16.1 Safety and Health Metrics.
MacDougall earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin and her law degree at Marquette University. She resides in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
