Stephanie L. Johnson, CSP, CHMM, joined the ASSP Board of Directors on July 1, 2023, serving a three-year term. She has nearly 20 years of safety and health experience. She also serves as a trustee of the ASSP Foundation, the Society's charitable arm, in her dual leadership role.
An ASSP member since 2007, Johnson has served in several leadership positions with Region III and the Blacks in Safety Excellence Advisory Committee. She has also served on the Society’s Professional Development Conference Planning Committee and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit Planning Committee.
Professionally, Johnson has led several divisions of EHS disciplines for corporate entities in various industries. She currently leads an EHS compliance program for AT&T with responsibility for petroleum tank compliance, spill prevention control and countermeasures, and remediation.
In her community, Johnson is on the board for Texas Exes – Dallas Chapter and the Dallas Black Dance Theater. She also serves on the College of Natural Sciences Advisory Council for the University of Texas at Austin.
Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. She resides in Duncanville, TX.
