Maribeth Anderson, M.P.A., CSP, was elected a director-at-large on the ASSP Board of Directors, with her term starting July 1, 2020. She is global senior director, business continuity and security, at Xylem Inc., leading the business continuity, crisis response and security for global operations.
An ASSP member since 1997, Anderson received the Charles V. Culbertson Outstanding Volunteer Service Award in 2017 and the President’s Award in 2019. She has served on the Finance Committee and Professional Development Conference Planning Committee, and is a member and mentor in the Women in Safety Excellence Common Interest Group. She is also involved in the Consultants Practice Specialty.
Anderson was vice president of ASSP’s Council on Region Affairs from 2015 to 2019 following her term as region vice president from 2009 to 2013. Within the Greater Chicago Chapter, she has held several elected positions including chapter president for three terms.
Anderson earned undergraduate degrees from Lewis University and a master’s degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She resides in Chicago.
