Stephanie L. Johnson, CSP, CHMM, began her three-year term as director-at-large on the ASSP Board of Directors on July 1, 2023. With 20 years of experience in environmental health and safety (EHS), Johnson also serves as a trustee of the ASSP Foundation, the Society’s charitable arm.
Johnson has led various EHS divisions for corporate entities across multiple industries, overseeing corporate EHS standards, training and governance.
An ASSP member since 2007, Johnson has held several leadership roles within Region III and the Blacks in Safety Excellence Advisory Committee. She has also contributed to the Society’s Professional Development Conference Planning Committee and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit Planning Committee.
In her community, Johnson is actively involved as a board member for Texas Exes – Dallas Chapter and the Dallas Black Dance Theater. She also serves on the College of Natural Sciences Advisory Council for the University of Texas at Austin.
Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and resides in Duncanville, TX.
