Membership

Join the International Practice Specialty for access to a network of subject-matter experts from around the globe, as well as relevant industry education and information.

international_mainWho We Are

Our community provides a forum for internationally minded safety professionals to network globally, as well as exchange information on how to make the world a safer and healthier place. We are instrumental in developing and supporting the Society’s several international sections and chapters, and partnering with other international safety organizations to share innovative ideas and best management practices.

What We Do

For ASSP members within the International Practice Specialty community, we provide the following:

  • Networking opportunities via social media groups, conference calls and in-person meetings like the annual Professional Development Conference so you can connect with top industry professionals
  • Professional development opportunities, including global safety-focused education you can immediately put into practice, mentor relationships that facilitate sharing knowledge, and volunteer and leadership opportunities to build your skills and enhance your resume
  • Safety-related, global-focused content and information that you can also immediately implement, as well as share with employers and colleagues, to create safe, productive work environments

Why It Matters

Just as workplace hazards have no geographical boundaries, nor should barriers exist for sharing the many innovative ideas and practices that occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals around the world put into place. That’s why we provide a forum in which OSH professionals can share and discuss international safety best practices. Our community is committed to advocating for the global effort that is required to bring workplace safety to the forefront of business decisions.
