In December 2021, ASSP signed a non-binding letter of intent to sell its Park Ridge, IL, headquarters building for $4.4 million, and vacate the building by Dec. 1, 2022. As a result, staff began evaluating suitable, smaller office options to lease. Then, on March 14, 2022, the House of Delegates voted to give the Board of Directors authority to sell the ASSP headquarters location.

Due to the extended time between signing of the letter of intent and House of Delegates approval, the prospective buyer continued to explore its options and has informed ASSP that it has identified an alternative option. As a result, we no longer expect this buyer to follow through with the transaction. 

However, the business reasons for selling the ASSP headquarters building have not changed, so the building is now on the market. For budgetary reasons, we will not commit to new leased space until there is more certainty around the building sale.
