Safety professionals are experts at preventing incidents and protecting workers, but the legal realities that come with managing risk often fall outside the scope of traditional training. This webinar, hosted by industry thought leader James Junkin and attorney Brent Kettelkamp, bridges that gap by exploring the critical legal dimensions of safety practice. From contract language that shifts liability to navigating OSHA investigations, this session equips safety leaders with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions that protect both their workforce and their organizations.

What You Will Learn

  • How to understand key legal terms in MSAs, indemnification, and hold harmless agreements.
  • The essentials of attorney–client privilege and how to preserve it during sensitive matters.
  • Critical steps safety professionals must take after a fatal incident.
  • How to prepare for wrongful death and gross negligence claims before they happen.
  • Proactive strategies for OSHA inspection readiness.
  • Practical approaches to winning the OSHA informal conference.
