For the second time in five years, our Slippery Rock University Student Section has been named the Outstanding Student Section of the Year. The section reported strong results in all critical requirements — professional development, research, and campus and community Involvement. Throughout the year, the section demonstrated a wide variety of professional development, technical and educational programming, mentorship opportunities, along with maintaining a strong involvement with the parent chapter and ASSP-related activities. Faculty advisor Dr. Cindy Medford, CSP, and the section will receive $5,000 to fund scholarships and research.
All other student sections that qualified for the award will receive a $500 stipend from ASSP.
