Serious Injuries and Fatalities: What’s the Problem and What Can You Do About It?

Jul 20, 2021

Sponsored by Grainger

This webinar recorded on March 30, 2021 is part of Grainger’s new Environmental Health and Safety webinar series focused on serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs) and solutions Grainger provides. Presented in collaboration with ASSP, this webinar provides a high-level overview of SIF exposures. The speakers discuss non-fatal versus fatal injuries rates, actual versus potential exposures, and the crucial role of the hazard identification, risk assessment and control processes. They also identify key high-risk activities and precursors that contribute to SIFs, and future webinars in the series will focus on four of these high-risk activities.

Grainger is proud to be a key ASSP stakeholder and to collaborate with ASSP to discuss the SIFs and what can be done to address them.

In this session for all experience levels, you’ll:

  • Define serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs)and recognize the impact on businesses and families
  • Discuss best practices from organizations that are making a difference
  • Explain the role SIF potential plays in reducing serious injuries and fatalities
  • Review how to use tools such as an SIF assessment to begin focusing on SIFs
