Pakistan Chapter Legislative Outreach Update

Apr 01, 2018

SU_PakistanChapterLeaders of the Society's Pakistan Chapter recently met with the National Vocational Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to propose implementing OSH subjects into NAVTTC training modules across Pakistan.

During the meeting, the groups agreed on several future activities:

  • a memorandum of understanding to define the mechanisms of cooperation;
  • delivering lecture presentations on OSH topics during workshops and seminars arranged by NAVTTC;
  • developing train-the-trainer programs for individuals implementing OSH training modules in these training centers.

NAVTTC strives to educate and support people across Pakistan by implementing skill development training to more than 100,000 youths at its 700 training centers across Pakistan.

Recently, the chapter met with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to encourage OSH legislation.
