New Safety Podcast Launched

SU_STPodcast879661826ASSP has launched a new podcast about safety standards and technical publications. Listen to the inaugural episode to hear Tim Fisher, ASSP director of standards and technical services, discuss industry consensus standards and why they’re important in OSH. Fisher provides an overview of how and why government, companies and consumer groups come together to create safety standards.

The second episode features Richard Olawoyin, who coedited Safety Leadership and Professional Development, a new publication from ASSP. In this episode, he talks about how he and Darryl Hill created the book and why it’s important for safety professionals to develop these particular skills. Future episodes will cover topics such as ISO 45001, fall protection anchorage points and managing hazardous energy.
