ASSP’s Fernando Benalcazar Named Ecuador's Vice-Minister of Mines

ASSP member Fernando Benalcazar, CSP, has been named Vice-Minister of Mines of Ecuador. Benalcazar is a founder and professional member of ASSP’s Ecuador Section. He has been in the extractive industry for 26 years and has provided project management and support to international projects in Syria, France, Canada, Oman, Venezuela, Columbia, Brazil, U.S. and Ecuador.

Benalcazar holds an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering. He currently serves as Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Ecuador Section President.
