ASSP’s Pakistan Chapter recently held its annual professional development conference, with the theme of breaking barriers to safety culture. The conference featured 11 OSH technical sessions, three panel discussions, and speakers from private and public sector organizations. The conference sessions covered topics such as process safety, behavioral safety, safety in the power sector, industrial hygiene, occupational health, regulatory reforms, aviation safety and veterinary safety.
ASSP President Diana Stegall, CSP, CFPS, ARM, SMS, CPCU, addressed the conference via video message, and the president of Pakistan sent a written message, which was presented during the event. ASSP Pakistan Chapter President Naeem Subhani also delivered an address, sharing the chapter’s goals, past performance and future visions.
Professional development conferences are a great way for ASSP chapters to provide education, communicate with chapter members and offer networking opportunities to fellow safety professionals. What is your chapter doing? Tell us about your event or chapter activities.
