A Data-Driven Approach to Creating a Culture of Safety

Sponsored by Fulcrum

Sponsored by Fulcrum. As with any modern approach to process improvement, safety inspections and risk assessments require the right data to ensure you're focusing on the right issues, working efficiently and capturing the maximum value from your inspection processes. Fortunately, people engaged in safety programs (inspections and risk assessments, hazard reporting, remediation) constantly generate information that's valuable in creating a data-driven approach to safety. Because they may not recognize they are capturing data, it's important to convert their actions (inspecting, remediating, etc.) into data-driven insights (key performance indicators, performance metrics, safety metrics, etc.) that everyone in your organization can use to understand the value of safety.

In this session for all experience levels, you’ll be able to:

  • Develop new knowledge of ways to harness data from inspections, assessments, standard operating procedures and other actions to improve the effectiveness of safety programs
  • Recognize how data can help to create a culture of safety
  • Describe key considerations for implementing a data-driven program to create a culture of safety
