Elevating Safety Beyond Compliance

Driving Collaboration Through Standards-Based User Groups

Designed for safety professionals, employers and solution providers committed to preventing serious injuries and fatalities.

Compliance sets the baseline, but preventing serious workplace injuries and fatalities requires more. To make a real difference, organizations need practical tools, peer collaboration and guidance on applying voluntary consensus standards where risk is highest.

Our new standards-based user groups bring safety professionals, technology and industry together to turn voluntary consensus standards into real-world practices that reduce the highest-risk hazards — where prevention matters most.

Focused on the Most Critical Safety Risks

Our standards-based user groups concentrate on leading drivers of serious injury and fatality (SIF) risk — areas with high incident costs, strong regulatory visibility and clear opportunity for improvement through standards-based practice.

By isolating the top hazards identified by the Bureau of Labor Statistics and OSHA, we are identifying and removing causes of fatalities where they live: on the shop floor, at the construction site and in the heart of our infrastructure.

What Is a Standards-Based User Group?

A standards-based user group is a practitioner-led network of organizations and safety leaders committed to moving beyond minimum compliance by implementing voluntary consensus standards in real-world environments.

Standards-based user groups provide a neutral, structured forum to:

  • Share frontline-tested methods and lessons
  • Benchmark programs and performance to drive measurable impact
  • Develop repeatable, validated practices that save lives
  • Influence voluntary consensus standards with real-world insights
  • Collaborate with peers to eliminate serious injuries and fatalities
