  • ASSP Says Injury Rate Unacceptable, Calls for Employers to Act

    Nov 11, 2019
    ASSP is calling on employers to take steps to protect America’s workers from injury and illness in response to newly released data. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that 2.8 million nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses occurred in 2018, unchanged from the previous year. It was the first time since 2012 that the rate did not decrease.
  • ASSP Foundation Accepting Applications for $400,000 in Aid

  • ASSP Adding Virtual Participants to Classroom Safety Training

    ASSP is taking live classroom training and adding virtual participants via two-way video projection, meaning that a safety professional from their home or office can get all the benefits of face-to-face instruction without the travel time or expense. The new education option is called Live Virtual Classroom.
  • Revised Z10 Standard Is Blueprint for Safety Management

    Sep 18, 2019
    The revised ANSI/ASSP Z10.0-2019 standard that guides implementation of safety and health management systems is now available after being approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The update establishes Z10 as one of the most comprehensive systems-based standards in the world for occupational safety and health management.
