Our Foundation Board of Trustees have added two new members to help continue its mission of focusing on supporting educational programs that advance the profession we serve, developing tomorrow’s safety leaders and advancing research to expand the knowledge of the safety community.

Our Central Florida Chapter recently held its annual Holiday Awards Luncheon where Chapter President Susan Tobin presented members with awards and scholarships.

ASSP’s Telangana Chapter participated in Confederation of Indian Industry/Indian Green Building Council’s Green Building Congress held in Hyderabad, Telangana, Oct. 31 to Nov. 3.

The ANSI/ASSP Z359 Accredited Standards Committee met Nov. 6, 2018, to discuss ANSI/ASSP Z359 Fall Protection and Fall Restraint standard. The meeting was Randall Wingfield’s last meeting as committee chair. Thom Kramer was appointed as the new chair.

Three ASSP members founded Safety and Health Historical Society, an educational organization devoted to documenting the historical accomplishments, events and products that helped advance the protection of people, property and the environment.

Eric Simmons, a member of our Columbia Southern University Student Section (part of the Mobile Chapter) has been awarded the Robert G. Mayes Memorial Scholarship.
