  • Research Shows Value of Wearable Technology in Reducing Workplace Injuries

    The ASSP Foundation released a fatigue research report that shows the value of wearable technology in the workplace, encouraging employers to make a New Year’s resolution to monitor the fatigue levels of its workers to reduce injuries and increase productivity. The three-year study was led by Dr. Lora Cavuoto at the University at Buffalo and Dr. Fadel Megahed at the Farmer School of Business at Miami University of Ohio.
  • Worker Fatalities Slightly Decrease, But ASSP Wants Safer Workplaces

    ASSP is calling on employers to take well-known steps to protect America’s workers from fatal injuries in response to newly released data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The numbers only slightly decreased from 2016 to 2017. “This level of worker safety and health is not acceptable,” said ASSP President Rixio Medina.
  • Registration Opens for ASSP’s Safety 2019 in New Orleans

    Registration is open for the nation’s largest conference for occupational safety and health professionals. ASSP expects to draw more than 5,000 attendees from 40 countries to its Safety 2019 Professional Development Conference and Exposition in New Orleans. The event exposes attendees to best practices, industry trends and the latest product innovations.
  • ASSP Introduces New Safety Podcast

    Nov 28, 2018
    ASSP launched a biweekly Safety Standards and Tech Pubs Podcast to help occupational safety and health professionals stay informed of industry consensus standards and technical publications. The podcast debuted in October and already includes six episodes.
