Our 15th annual Future Safety Leaders Conference will take place Nov. 7-8, 2019. All ASSP student members are encouraged to apply.

For the second time in less than five years, the ASSP student section at Illinois State University has been named the Outstanding Student Section of the Year. The student section is part of our Central Illinois Chapter.

Members of our Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Student Section recently visited Walt Disney World for an on-site technical tour hosted by Central Florida Chapter members. The students got behind-the scenes looks at Disney’s Blizzard Beach, Hollywood Studios and the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.

Registration is open for the nation’s largest conference for occupational safety and health professionals. ASSP expects to draw more than 5,000 attendees from 40 countries to its Safety 2019 Professional Development Conference and Exposition in New Orleans. The event exposes attendees to best practices, industry trends and the latest product innovations.

Tyler Vanchure, a senior majoring in safety management at Slippery Rock University, has received the Student in Leadership Award in Innovation from the ASSP Foundation's NextGen Board. Her reward: A full conference experience at Safety 2019.
